Nashville recording artist, Jim Gaff is back with the most powerful project ever. He has also been busy with new releases. He will be promoting the CD in early 2018.
For over 30 years music has been part of Jim’s life. Since a child, he enjoys and respects a solid blend of diverse musical styles from country, bluegrass, rock and blues. He has been influenced by myriad of respectable top names in entertainment such as- Waylon Jennings, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Buddy Guy, and Bob Segar.
Jim Gaff” or "Big Jim Gaff” as some call him, has a musical career that spans 30 years of playing with bands including- Midnight Wind, Bootleg and US-5. Jim, being a singer/songwriter, recording artist and fine artist/designer writes his original music through his own life experiences and creativeness. He draws from all aspects of life and reflects that in his music. Jim draws together his thoughts and words then blends that with his creative memorable melodies to offer the listener an eclectic blend of country-based music.
While Jim’s main strengths revolve around solid vocals, he plays multiple instruments from guitar, banjo, fiddle, keyboards and harmonica. A multi-instrument playing musician coupled with his experience as 15 year Veteran firefighter, it’s no wonder Jim loves the high energy and thrill to perform. Whether it be one of his many trips to Nashville, or a club stage hotspot, he’s been on many stages performing with the same energy and passion.
Jim sings with a country twang and can sound like- Waylon, Jones and Haggard. He has the ability to then shift gears, turn up the heat and respond with a gravelly, punchy, high impact vocal to the likes of Bob Segar. His energy is certainly reflected on stage. He is best described as a cross between Waylon, Merle haggard and Travis Tritt.
If not on a stage kickin' it up or in the recording studio, you will probably catch Jim in his boat fishing or out in the woods in a tree stand. You can also catch this all “American wild man” this year lighting the stage on fire on the “Take Me Back” tour.
